Senior Backened Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in developing, optimizing, and scaling a healthcare SaaS product built on a microservices architecture hosted in AWS. Built with .NET Core and C#, backend supports a robust and scalable system that is currently single-tenancy, with plans to transition to a multi-tenant model. This role is key to developing secure and scalable services and optimizing backend performance, while implementing best practices to support growth and reliability of the backend system.
Description
- Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs
- Multi-Tenancy Transition: Collaborate on the transition from a single-tenant to a multi-tenant architecture, focusing on secure data isolation and efficient resource management
- AWS Service Integration: Work closely with DevOps to integrate various AWS services, ensuring high availability and scalability for backend services
- Database Management: Oversee a database-per-service approach, managing and optimizing databases for performance and reliability
- API Development and Management: Create and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance endpoints for frontend and external systems
- Code Quality and Testing: Implement best practices for code quality, including unit testing, integration testing, and adherence to coding standards, to maintain a stable and secure product
- Monitoring and Logging: Collaborate with DevOps to implement logging, monitoring, observability, and alerting for backend services to detect issues proactively
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to support seamless deployment and improve quality within the backend ecosystem.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of backend development experience with a focus on .NET Core and C#, preferably in a SaaS environment
- Microservices Expertise: Proven experience developing, deploying, and managing microservices in a distributed system, ideally on AWS
- Single/Multi-Tenancy: Prior experience in architecting or working within single/multi-tenant systems, focusing on data isolation, resource allocation, and efficiency
- AWS Knowledge: Strong experience with AWS and AWS managed services
- Database Management: Hands-on experience with relational database(s)
- API Development: Proficient in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs that are secure, efficient, and scalable
- Code Quality and Testing: Experience with code review, automated testing, and continuous integration practices
- Containerization: Proficiency in containerization technologies, such as Docker, and understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes
- Monitoring, Observability and Alerting: Familiarity with monitoring, observability and alerting tools
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot issues in distributed systems
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional environments
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in healthcare technology or handling sensitive data environments, with knowledge of HIPAA compliance
